The 2002 Winter Olympics were in SLC. Being a local then, I knew all the good places to park. In SLC, the big ole parking lot downtown and across from KSL TV/Radio was perfect. In Park City, me and a buddy parked very near the entrance to the half pipe in a small parking lot behind the main street. When we parked there were still open slots. Meanwhile, the masses were bussed in from miles away near I-80.

In 2028, I imagine the 405 and other parking lots disguised as freeways will piss off plenty of Olympic visitors.

I was pissed off when I saw Katie Couric start talking. She's such and American hating bitch.

And their constant drivel about the North and South Korean marching together as some sort of "beginning" to a new era of peace almost made me throw up.

I turned it off after watching the USA Olympians march in and get seated. I could not take her babbling anymore.

OTOH, I thought that what we saw of the ceremonies was much better than all the overblown wierdness of many previous ones. I think we missed seeing most of it, though, as so much was cut by the network.

Best Olympic opening ceremony was the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California. I believe they were held at the site of the 1932 Olympics in Los Angeles .

Word is if you use a VPN and select India as your country, you can watch the games live. I haven't tried it yet so it's just, "The Word Is".

Think I read the Canadian TV is covering the Olympic's live. In the old days of my rotor roof antenna I use to pick up the Canadian stations, living on the US/Canadian border.

Need a VPN, it comes as a free ad on with the free now open source OPERA browser. I use OPERA as my main browser for the last few years. Like it better than Chrome , Firefox and Pale Moon.

A couple of channels are covering it, but the CBC is the main one. Time difference mean it starts around 5pm and goes on all night.

I keep waiting for little fat bastard's sister to do something to make a statement for her brother.
