Growing up Oakland hills, Reggie Jackson of baseball fame lived two houses up.
Great guy, kept to himself. Had six car garage with some real nice hot rods. Reggie is big time car guy. Still remember his daily driver 911 Porsche with plates MVP 73.
Sad part his home burned down two times, my parents one time.
Also next store actress Andrea Parker of Pretender fame moved into her uncles house. At the time Andrea was dancing for San Francisco ballet. Andrea was my brothers girlfriend for three years

No, but back in the 80's, my aunt lived 2 houses away from Rick O'Cassick of The Cars, in Newton (Waban),Mass. She actually bought the house off of Ted Williams, who live in it throughout his baseball career.

When I was a kid, my next door neighbors were good friends with Harmon Killebrew and he was over at their house many times. When he was visiting, we were told not to come over.

neighbor as in next door, no. but this community in general is crawling with celebs./famous folks.

used to be country music stars and southern football greats...now it's wide open. but most famous folks here have a southern connection of some kind.

I don't know about Cheryl Crow tho. is she southern? I always thought she was a Cali girl?

I think most of them "have a place here", but don't actually call it home. do any of these famous celebs actually have a "home"?

When I was re-doing my back yard I found a flathead ford motor buried in the ground, half on my side of the property line and half on what was his. There was also some buried axles and rear end parts but I couldn't tell you what they were out of.
My dad's family grew up in this neighborhood and all the kids used to go over and bug the guy's visitors, people like Don Garlits, for autographs.

6 years ago I lived in the same building as Jack Blades. My youngest son was 1st grade boyfriend/girlfriend with his daughter.
