Decent little score at LKQ
The local Pick Your Part got in a '93 Vette coupe. Only the second Vette I have seen them acquire. I figured I'd go down and check it out.
I got a driver side visor and a right front marker lamp for $30. I also got the weatherstripping for the windshield. Mine was a little rough and this one looked fairly new so I figured if I could get it off in one piece I'd buy it. Whoever installed it didn't use and adhesive so it peeled right off. Cost a whopping $3.88! My old one, one the other hand, was a bear to remove. Lots of scraping and little pieces. I touched up any scratches and put a thin bead of 3M weatherstrip adhesive before installing. My top fits a little tighter, less wind noise, and looks much better. It'll get me by until I order a complete kit to redo the car. Pics of debris and new piece. |
