These should help
My PS2's are down to about 10% anyways so I ordered a set of 315x30x18 MT Street Radial II's to throw on the CCW's. I'm putting L5 flairs on the rear quarters this winter anyways and ordering some 13 wide inch Classics and 345 street tires.
If I really hate them I can always sell them. |

They are VERY stable IMHO at high speed and cornering as I had these on the vert and drove them 50+ miles one way to the track many times.
My 97' was on the lift so I never got tho try them on that before I sold them Jeff bought them on the wheels so he can speak to them as well. The PS2 replacment Pilot Super Sports I just tested in Dubai are at least as sticky as the RA1s I run on the street now. |

Got the tires today. Very cool. They are very low profile for a 30. They look more like a 25. I'll get them mounted tomorrow. Can't wait to see how they work. The car was certainly fun to drive with the M&H slicks on it.

Got the 315x30x18 ET Street Radial II's on over the weekend and drove the car to work today. I was really hoping that these would solve the traction problems I had with the 315x30 Michelin PS2's. They definitely do that. It was 33 degrees out when I left the house this morning and the available traction was very good. They would spin most of the way through 1st but catch at the stop. 2nd gear was better with a little spin and 3rd was a chirp and then stick. The Michelins would spin all the way through 3rd.
Now the bad news. At 32lbs the tires feel like they have 15lbs in them around corners. The ride is not bad going down the highway and I have my car setup pretty stiff with coilovers and PFADT swaybars. Ramps and even quick lane changes is where you really notice these are NOT really viable street tires if you like to bend your car. The footing is very unsure at slightly better than medium speeds on long ramps. Certainly not confidence inspiring. They rut/seam steer more than the PS2's also on the highway. The ET II's are supposed to have stiffer sidewalls but I guess not stiff enough for my driving. I guess there is no free lunch here. They are fine for driving to and from the track. I'm going to air them up to 38lbs and see if there is any difference. I'll let you know. |

I'm really surprised you went with the MN12 and 3.42s in your car. You should have kept the MN6 and 3.42s or even went down in gear.
If you want traction and handing why not try a Nitto R2 or Toyo R888 or something similar?
