I have recently noticed a renewed barrage of excessive adverts in TVland.
News flash for the networks... don't care how hooked I am on whatever you are showing; after the 4th or 5th ad in a row I get indignant and just turn that shit off. You are doing yourselves and your advertisers a grave disservice by alienating those of us who are the target audience so badly that we shut off the TV. I can't even channel surf around the ads anymore because you seem to have come to an agreement of some sort to show them all at the same time.
In closing... I read a lot more now since I can no longer sit in front of the tube, and I have lost 5 pounds because I get off the couch more. So thank you for sucking... I think.

I try to DVR stuff to zip through the commercials. I watched Ant Anstead build that car on MT. I had to zip through the annoying parts when they would interview him. I don't want to hear yap yap yap...show some of the build!

Not only did I turn it off I cut the cord.

Netflix, Amazon Prime, and YouTube give me all the video I have time to watch and then some.

Broadcast tv sucks ass and has for close to a decade now. I watch a couple of major network show like MASH. Streaming videos or movies on my server is 90% of tv watching.

I cannot watch TV unless it's DVR'ed and I use 30-sec-skip to blast through commercials, or if I'm not really actually watching it and it's just on in the background. Usually like a golf tournament or something where you can look at it every 10 minutes or so and see what's going on. It absolutely blows how much time they spend on commercials.

Nothing is worse than some movie on a channel like AMC or TNT. The first 30 minutes of the movie, there is very little commercial interruption. As it progresses the commercials are more and more often and longer. The last 30 minutes of the movie takes an hour.

And during this time period, when you get back from a commercial break, you've forgotten what movie was playing.

Love how these channels cut an hour and 45 minute movie to fit into a 3 hour time slot.

Only TV watched by me is FOX NEWS......wife watches odd movie/series TV channels......

I used to be a TV shop manager, grew to hate the stupid crap daytime programs.....need to check operation of TV on ALL channels.....

MY PILLOW is getting repetitive ....but they sleep GREAT!!!!

Since all this cootie crap started I have not watched network tv in months....I am even slowing down of the cable channels ...can't take this political crap anymore either....NetFlix and Prime and Hulu and great with no or little commercials.....and that's what I did for over 40 years !

I got rid of cable due to rising cost. We have 2 Samsung 2019 smart TVs. They have TV Plus on them and with a hd antenna I now get 24 local stations and 119 stations on TV Plus and the best part is it is free.
