Gene,

Now might not be the best time to be selling. Now might be a good time to go out and find ammo for that and hunker down. They're rioting in Florida. Eventually, if this goes on long enough, the rioters are gonna run out of downtowns to burn, and they're gonna come for the neighborhoods. Just sayin'.

11 for sale on gun broker.com prices ranging from 255 up to 700. only 2 with bids, 255 and 395.

so i'd guess around 400-450.

In a lot of peoples views the older Ithaca was cable of slam fire and is worth more if gun is being used in a defensive situation.

(Slam fire is when you hold the trigger back and rapidly do the pump action.)
Over the course of time I have had 5 Ithica pumps and they are a very good gun.

Sorry due to today's nonsense I can not give you a price!

The Ithaca Model 37 does not have a "disconnect" in the fire mechanism so it will continue to fire every single time a fresh shell is chambered IF the trigger is held back.

Another advantage is the spent shells eject straight down instead of off to the side ( important for lefties )

Benelli Super Nova here. Bought it back when we lived too close to comfort to Ferguson MO. I have a couple of other shotguns but they are more sporting than defense

Yes the OLDER models as I said. They put in a disconnecter system in decades back. I have had 3 oldies with slam fire capability and two newer that did not. If I had to guess I would say about 1980 they changed the action!

Apparently the second sear which allowed slam fire was removed in approximately 1975.
