In Atlanta you have to be aggressive, otherwise you will never get anywhere. By default being aggressive is construed as being rude.

We are very nice here in Missouri. Really just a state full of truly exceptionally good drivers who obey traffic laws and display good manners and cheerfulness while at the same time never using their smart phone while driving.

Back in CA, not being rude was a sign of weakness. Now that I'm in TX it's much better. There are certain areas that always get snarled where people are rude, but for the most part, Texans are pretty polite. I always try to be courteous, until another driver does something rude to me.

I'm exactly the same way.

The people that get me the most - and I'm totally admitting this to be a weakness of mine - are the people who seem to not be goal-oriented in getting somewhere during the week (people that cruise on side streets looking around and going 30mph). If you're on the road, know where you're going and try to get there. If you're cruising, be *VERY AWARE* of people that need by you.

I'm never in a hurry.. drive slow, and always let people into traffic.

Usually even stop so pedestrians can cross the street if they start to cross and stop because they see me coming.

I don't know why everyone is always in such a dang rush..

It's because we get all the drivers from New York LOL.

It was never like this in CA, but over time with the influx of other drivers from every state in the union, they bring their unique driving skills here, where locals get pissed off - me included. I wish I had a nickle for all the times I yelled in my car - you asshole. It's gotten pretty bad to the point where now I have a dash cam to record my drive to and from work each day.
