Got 'er up and running great. Cleaned all the old gas out and put in race fuel and got on 33 to remove a little carbon. Was cold out so I didn't go much over 130

At least yours is in a garage. Starter went out on Sneaks last week. I had just had him out for a run the day before. At least the starter bit the dust in my driveway, and not out somewhere.
I'll get to it when we have a nice warm snap.

I have not been pulled over since I left the USA as cops don't usually drive around looking to ticket people here.

I have been waved over now and then, and stopped at police checkpoints at times.

The last time was about 4 years ago I was waved to stop at a Police Checkpoint and I thought about acting like I was a dumb foreigner who did not understand and just slowed and smiled at them as I waved back but kept going.

Out of the corner of my eyes I could see quite a few M16's getting pointed in my direction so decided it was probably a good idea to come to a complete stop ASAP!

Cop: why did you try to drive through?

Me: I thought you were waving me to keep going..

Cop: Can I see your drivers license and registration?

Me: Here is my drivers license, but I do not have the registration

Cop: Why not?

Me: No one ever stops me to ask me for it.
(Plates were dated 2001 but no one seems to notice)

Cop: chuckles.. and squints trying to read my license in the dimly lit area. Then ask if my DL is expired?

My Wife Decides to chime in to help and tells them yes it is expired as of last year.. (she seems to think her input helps for some dumb reason..)

Cop: Why are you license expired?

Me: Because I have not been to the city and hate going there.

Cop: chuckles again.. and tells me to always carry my registration and get my license replaced as soon as possible.

Would have been the end of the story but it was the only road to go home by so knew I would see them again..

Since I was heading into town to go to the ATM I also stopped and bought them a small sack of bread snacks to give them on the way back.

On the way back they saw who I was and this time were clearly waving me to go on through, but I stopped to give them the bread and offered them some Rhum.

The refused the Rhum but took the bread and said thanks.

I figured if I ever saw them again I wanted them to remember me as the guy that gave them some bread instead of the guy they let go.

Last ticket, 2008, deserved it. Then nothing until this year, got stopped twice, no tickets.

Just noticed you're not that far from one of my common route trips. I'll have to remember that when I swing your way next trip. Stop off and do a few cold ones if you're around.
