I bet the legal department had a lot to do with the decision to pull the commercial. I seem to remember hearing they continued to use the commercial in Europe, where frivolous lawsuits are not as common.

I think they banned that commercial because they didn't want to give kids any bad ideas about taking daddy's Corvette for a spin. Good thing they ban violent video games that involve shooting people.
