Default Need help...Tundra related

So GWiz and Patty just got back home last night from Georgia Tech. They took the Tundra, got packed up and home with no issues. This morning I backed it out into the street so I could mow the lawn. When I got back in to pull back into the driveway to wash it, the shifter doesn't work.

It's a column mounted shifter ('07 Tundra). The shifter physically moves, but the gear never changes. It won't move out of park. How do these things work? I replaced the shifter cable in my '06 Coupe, but not sure how these column mounted things work.

You bought the Tundra for reliability ? I’ve never had a shifter issue on any of my GM trucks. And I keep those for 20 years each.

OK, but at least the Toyota's brakes last more than 20K.

Chevy's have their issues such as brake/fuel lines rotting away and rocker panel rot.You can say rotted frames on yotas but at least they replaced them and didn't go to court like GM to stop a recall on their lines.

Meh, it's got 273,000 miles, I give it a pass this time.

Ain't that the truth. My 99 Silverado lines rusted through right above the gas tank. Thank God it happened when I was at home.
