After wall removal and scraping out the nest I replaced the insulation and started putting osb up. Probably a good thing though since that wall was always cold in the winter anyways

I have a building question if any of you are or know a builder
Why so many nails to hang OSB?
I know that I didn't put them every 4 inches like some recommend
And what if I don't put in enough nails?

OSB doesn't have the strength of plywood, that's why it is recommended to nail every 4"

Depends on location and useage, for sidwalls i never go closer than 6 inches unless maybe a tall shear wall. Osb doesn't seem to have shear capabilities that plywood does. For roofing 4 inch spacing may be code for lift off protection (hurricane zones) for 100 plus mph winds.
What will happen... Nothing more than likely unless you're in a hurrizone maybe. Don't get me wrong... 6 nails for a sheet isn't good, i have found that before along with 4 nails per window. I've kicked sheeting off walls both interior and exterior they have so few nails in them.
I don't use osb for anything exterior myself, especially if going to see any moisture. If you're in the snow belt i wouldn't have used it with deck right there if possibility of snow building up.

I was assuming (oh shit, I said it) that the 12 inch flashing at the base helps keep the moisture away. I do keep the snow off from it as well.
So 12" between is ok?
I'm hoping the wrap will work as well

12 inch spacing will be fin IMO.... I wouldn't have gone closer either.
Didn't see the flashing at bottom, I just worry about moisture wicking up from the bottom, think ice dams when dealing with siding. Probably won't happen especially with flashing and looks like taped it off good. Does the flashing go under edge of osb to keep moisture off it, hard to tell from pic on my phone.

Many years ago a buddy worked for the local fire dept, and he told me to never allow OSB on a job site, reason was that the local FD flagged all homes built with OSB because it's a FIRE HAZARD, burns hotter than hell and very rapidly, so they not going into a house so flagged unless proven human hazard......

now a daze maybe they changed the glue, but I just use plywood.....
