Default Friends of Bill "IrishMac" Maguire
I know there are several former CFOT folks here and many were fortunate to know the late Bill Maguire - IrishMac on CFOT. Prior to recent events, Iron Chef began a fundraising campaign in OT to purchase bench at the NCM in Bill's memory.

When IC left the forum, the torch was picked up by a few others and the funds raised. Last night I completed the artwork for Bill's bench and I wanted to post it here so that those who had donated, but rarely visit OT anymore, might see where your money went and also to publicly thank my friend Iron Chef for doing this for Bill.

I do far too much comedy at Chef's expense and rarely do I take the opportunity to publicly say what a truly decent fellow he is. I'd like to recognize his efforts to get this done, and acknowledge that this is but one of many things he has done behind the scenes for others. Kudos my friend.

The design is fantastic, but I've come to expect that from you (as well as being insulted and picked on like no one else can ).

And thanks for the kind words. I miss my friends that I left behind at CF, and I miss Bill too. He was a sort of "mentor" (if you can call it that) when I first became a moderator, so I thought this would be a nice way to honor his memory.

Despite my exterior sharp edges, inside I really do believe that the best gifts are the ones you give to others.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Bill but I've only heard wonderful things about him. The artwork looks great, Bucky. It's nice that you decided to do this. I'm sure it will mean a lot to his family, his friends and to him.
