Mail Carrier XMAS Gift?

Our carrier is a great lady, but has told us several times that she can't accept gifts other than something she can bring back to the post office to share with her co-workers. We will leave a big bag of cookies or a bag of Lindt chocolate balls, but no liquor, she will leave it in the mailbox!

We wanted to gift the carrier but lately ours is like a revolving door. We have a variety of mail carriers. One is Mario Andretti, you can always tell when he is in the neighborhood. Two other lady mail carriers zoom thru and deliver so quick you don't have a chance to say hi.
Our permanent carrier misses so much work I wonder how she manages. Our best carrier who retired would get a great gift each season.

Our regular carrier is a good guy. Brings things that are too big for the mailbox down to the garage, if it's raining he puts them in plastic bags, etc. We give him a card with cash at Christmas.

We'll start doing the same for our trash pickup guy this year. We recently switched to a different company, & the driver backs down the driveway (~150 ft) to do the pickup.

Well, my carrier has told me that their post master is an asshole, so he probably told all the carriers "No gifts!"

Wife was a LETTER carrier for 19 yrs in that hell-hole called the Post Office. She finally wised up and went to another federal agency.

Postmaster's rotate and often as you change underwear. She said she's only work for 2 postmaster that were great leaders/supervisors. The rest were "simply assholes!"

She said they were allowed monetary gift's up to $25.00.

Love it! That's exactly what mine needs. Oh yeah, we got a Christmas card in the box today with "Ellis Fam" handwritten on it. Last year he begged, this year it's just a card. Maybe someone complained?

Had one Ole geezer for quite a few years and he ate a lot of stogies, so got him a couple but then the mailman used to change pretty often so they ended up getting nothin. Our current one is a big hefty bull dyke, so if she is here next year we may get her a strap-on or a bale of hay.
