Mid-seventies I had a math teacher who wore dresses shorter than that. Pretty little recent divorcee drove all the men teachers wild. She had my undivided attention and my math grades were excellent.

Somebody had to invent pantyhose before they could wear a dress that short.

Pantyhose was just coming into use when I got out of school -- it was a bittersweet experience for us boys.

As said, those kids were lucky and they knew it. I remember flying PSA from LA to Oakland in 1972 as an 11 year old and the stewardess were wearing orange go-go boots and orange micro-miniskirts. As a young boy, it was very, very intriguing. I still have the ticket folder somewhere with a picture of them in 'uniform'. If I find it I'll post it. There was an age and weight limit then, so all of the stewardess were slim, tanned, attractive FEMALES with big hair and no tattoos in sight. A totally different world. Sigh.

Hard to say, my sisters were weird. Just because they called them koolocks probably doesn't mean much. Was only aware of the shorts. A search does turn up a few hits for "coolots shorts". Considering they've been out of style for more than 50 years that's pretty amazing
