Had a rattle in the dash for about 400 miles

Now the rattle has stopped and the ashtray/cointray wont stay closed. The two just might be related and it will be the dealers problem to solve as the car is still under warranty.
Has anyone else suffered the same problem and is it an easy fix??????
ie, Can I wait for the problems to be resolved or would it take more than a half day?

I have the same problem with my C6 Coupe ash try. Does not want to stay closed. I'll get it to stay closed but as soon as I hit a bump - open it comes. I ignore it for the most part. Also have a rattle but I know where its coming from. Button on the Auto Shifter. CheySha had an issue with a dash rattle on here C6 coupe, and took it to the Dealer as it was under warranty. They did not find the issue and hers still rattles. Good luck on yours. Let us know if they are able to find and fix!

It has to be inspected this month and is almost due for a service so we will post and let you know.
Surely it cant be that hard to fix the ash tray so it does not come open.

Today we had the 08 Vette inspected, serviced AND they fixed the ashtray and the rattle in the dash. Took them all day and they removed part of the dash, found what was rattling, fixed that and then replaced the ash tray. I am happy again (for the moment anyway). They replaced the ashtray plus another small plastic part.

On the service record it says the ashtray door was broken and the ashtray assembly fell apart and both parts were replaced. Guess that was the rattle.

I didnt notice it when I was paying for the service but I got a Senior Citizen discount.

Must be something to do with the grey hair
