That would be nice.

Both in color and in black and white, along with extreme close ups.

Thanks

Hope they continue healing up proper

If you don't regain all of your feeling at least you won't have to sit on your hand for "the stranger" anymore

I had 3 pins in my hand when I broke it.
The doctor told me off the record to twist them a little bit if I was up to it.
This way they would be loose when they took them out.

They came out pretty easily and I had them in a test tube that was hanging from my rearview mirror until someone broke in and stole them.

I've had two different plates with 4 screws each time in my left hand. The reason I had to have it re-done was the doc left a piece of nylon in my hand, preventing the bones from never healing, and eventually the screws backed themselves out.

They leave the plate in for good?

They gave me a choice of pins or plates. With the plates they said I'd have to schedule surgery again as the plates need to come out after the bone heals.

The wires were interesting.
They stuck a real long needle that could bend in my wrist in different locations and froze my whole hand.
They then put my hand in a clamp that had 2 pins in it that clamped on one part of the bone and he then proceeded to pull the other part of the bone until it was set. I had a boxers break they called it and one of the bones was overlapping the other by 1/4" and broke through the skin.

He then had a drill with a hole in the bit that had a wire passing through and drilled 3 holes in my hand to hold the bones in place.
THey then wrapped it in a bandage and I was good to go.

3 weeks later they removed the pins.

I broke my 4th metacarple on my left hand, commonly known as a boxer fracture.

The doctor originally said he was going to do a plate, but attempted a screw at first. As a result, the screw chipped a piece of bone off, and the two bones wouldn't line up any more they were REALLY crooked, still are some what. The doctor took the bone that he'd chipped off, and tied it into place with some nylon. (go find that in a medical text book ) He put a plate and 4 screws between my metacarples.

After about 6 months my hand started really hurting when I used it. An X-ray showed a huge gap between the two bone ends. I went to SHANDS medical in Gainseville Fl (where I should have gone from day one). When they opened me up, they realized there was a piece of nylon between the two bones which was preventing the bones from healing. The doc did a bone graft from my wrist and filled in the gap between the two bones, and this time did a plate on the top of my bone with 4 screws (you could feel it through the skin). After a few years I had the plate removed from the top of my hand.

Just a WAG, but the doctor that did all that....he's not your landlord, by chance?

No. He was a cool dude though. He was a plastic surgeon actually.
When he and the nurse(old bat) were looking at the x-ray out in the hall I looked over and started laughing.
Up until then I never had any stitches or broken bones and found it humorous.

She asked me what I was laughing about and I told her my broken hand. To which she replied it wasn't a laughing matter.
I told her I could fix it real quick, Just give me a hammer to pund it back in to place and some glue to lock it together.
She got pissed and the Doc was laughing his ass off.
He even brought a pretty nurse in the room when he was drilling to help take my mind off the pain.
