Maximum Lateral Acceleration: A Test Of A Car's Ability To Hold The Road In Cornering
Only one of these cars can hold the road at .91G
 It isn't Porsche 928S...  It isn't Ferrari 308GTSi...  It isn't Lotus Esprit Turbo...  The only one that can hold the road at .91G...  ... is the Chevrolet Corvette.   That's what it takes to be a world class champion.  Drive today's Chevy, live today's Chevy.

I downloaded the 1985 IROC Rd. 2 race at Mid Ohio and the Corvette ad was first ad, first ad break.
Third ad in that break was the Goodyear ad, "Why does every Ferrari come with Goodyear Eagles? Because Mr. Ferrari wants it that way." Next ad break first ad, was the Corvette beating the same cars going from 0-to-60-to-0, with a 8.9 second time, and the next ad after that was a Mobil1 Synthetic ad, featuring an Olds 88, a Corvette Challenge race car, a Douglas A4 Skyhawk fighter jet (in NASA livery), and the Space Shuttle. Obviously the IROC series was perfect for selling Corvettes, and hi-po go goodies for cars... |
