Had a really fun day @ VMP today... won my class and made a 1/4 mile pass in the vert

Got to make one "fun run" for being in the car show at the Super Chevy event @ VMP today. Turns out I was the only show car to run in the 12s out of about 40 that made passes. Not too bad for having to start out of the groove on fully aired up street tires w/o any prep. It's been awhile since I've made a 1/4 mile pass, but it was like riding a bike. Nice to be able to say the red vert is a 12 second car now. The MPH is pretty strong of a regular LS1 C5.

Also won my class in the car show.... all in all a really fun day hanging out w/ TravisND and others.

I seen where you posted about changing you gears do you think that is what got you in the 12's or have you done other performance mods.

Thats awesome Brian. I wish I could have made it but this weekend has been crazy, well just today actually. I had alot of running around to do and had almost 3 cords of wood delivered this afternoon.

The car has the following engine/power mods and dyno'd 332/342 rwhp/rwtq on the factory PCM tune.

• Halltech Venom air intake
• Z06 mid-pipe w/ Corsa X-pipe
• Corsa Extreme catback system

The car could have probably run 12s w/o the gears but it would have required a much better launch and 60-ft. The gears allowed the car to still run 12s even when launching out of the racing groove. They had us over to the side of the lane out of the prepped area. I think people say gears are worth about 3/10s in the 1/4. With a better 60-ft the car has lower/mid 12s in it at that MPH.... could proabably run a 12.4 or 12.5 w/ more passes.

Yeah I've been that way the past 2 years.... always working on something. This year my resolutions were to do more car events and play more golf on the weekends

Now that the weather is warmer I play golf twice a week if not more. Anytime you want to play just let me know. We can always run up to Redwing for 18, or even just to the driving range.

Haha... I haven't made a 1/4 mile pass since Corvetteforum Cruise-In like 4 years ago. As I the tree started flashing down I thought "Oh yeah I need to leave on the 3rd yellow"... that combined with trying to figure out what RPM I wanted to launch at resulted in a less that stellar RT... but RT has nothing to do w/ ET and I wasn't racing anyone
