Timely topic. AT&T was working in my back yard last week. I have an easement that runs parallel to my back fence. They were directional boring for fiber, and had to dig holes along the way to check that the wire they were pushing was on target. I don't know if 'fiber' is the same as 5g, but they filled the holes back in decently enough, no complaints.

My next door neighbor, on the other hand, wouldn't let them on her property, so AT&T eventually called the cops. Had two or 3 squad cars out here, I guess to explain it to her that she really had no choice to let them on her property. I don't know, maybe she had conflicts with AT&T and just wanted to make it hard on them?

I told the guys if they had no other option, they could hop my fence and access her property totally on the easement, but I guess by that time, they had worked it out already; she had agreed to let them through to the easement.

I know a person who has a cell tower on his property. He negotiated a deal with the cell service to pay him $30k a month lease and free cell service. He’s not complaining one bit. Oh, and the tower sits on a hill way out back, away from his house.
