C2 wiper blades removal

I’ve searched like nuts and everything says the same thing. Pull up on tab, slide blade off. Nope. Plastic tab breaks off - blade will not come off. These are original Trico stainless blades. It appears to not have the hook but instead is flat. WTF.

Can somebody tag Frankie the Fink? I can’t seem to make that work either

If it's the standard orange bottles with the white cap, you should teach her to turn the cap upside down so it's easier to open.

Did that and showed here how to remove the battery cover off the remote using her palm...fingers aren't so strong anymore. She is a stubborn German woman that hates not doing for herself. Us three kids are always there for her

Take the car to one of those Auto Parts stores. The kid in there will have it off in a second.

Go on the internet. Type Trico Wiper Blades Install and you will find
many video's how to take off and install windshield wiper blades.

If you go to CF in the 1/2 Corvette section and go to Search
Windshield Wiper removel there are posts on How to remove windshield
wipers.
You can do it and Luck

[Frankie the Fink]

If you're putting on repro rubber, get the good stuff (with the rubber dots) or else the size will be an issue. A close up pic of the tab/hook you are fighting with would help.

The rubber should slide up through the arms metal tabs until they "lock" into place. BE SURE they are installed correctly before use; if that rubber comes loose, you'll scratch your windshield for sure and never run wipers on dry glass.

Original arms should have a large regular screw to adjust horizontal angle and the PS wiper goes over the DS. DS is 1" above windshield SS molding and PS is 1" above the DS wiper.

Yeah, when I replace the inserts I check the rubber at least 10 times before using ...paranoid about scratching the windshield.

Yes. I did. But all advice this far is the same. Doesn’t work. I’ll post some pics. I did get them apart but not the way the videos show.

I’m replacing the rubber and the “housing” or whatever it’s called that holds the rubber part.

The wiper arms don’t have the j hook. They are flat with a hole in them that clips into the stainless blade holder. Pics to follow.
