Another wrong way driver in San Antonio

This is a common occurrence here. I don't get it....maybe shitbags gonna shitbag. It was happening mostly at night and now, a daytime idiot.

Wrong-way driver causes crashes, 410 closure

SAN ANTONIO - A man left several crashes and injured people in his wrong-way wake on Loop 410 South Saturday afternoon.

The crash calls started coming in just before 1 p.m.

Police say the man involved in eight crashes drove north in the southbound lanes and ended his run after both front wheels came off his SUV near Loop 410 and Military Drive.

Along the path from near Marbach Road to past Military Drive, stunned drivers, including a San Antonio Fire Department crew, wondered what had happened.

Police say the man appeared to be disoriented and possibly under the influence of an unknown substance.

Investigators took the man in for questioning and a blood test.

They're not yet sure what charges he faces.

Police say numerous people suffered injuries, including a 6-year-old, but those injuries are minor.

Officers closed down a section of southbound Loop 410 in the confused aftermath of the crashes as they worked a miles-long scene.

The highway remained closed as of 4:45 p.m. from Culebra Road to Marbach Road.
