USPS Cost Me $96

One of the reasons I rent a Post Office Box is because the ****tard letter carriers were continually delivering my mail to the wrong house. Sometimes they put my mail into my neighbor's mailbox, and sometimes they deliver it to a completely different area (same house number as mine but on South XYZ Street where my house is on North XYZ Street).

Switching my important (i.e. non-junk) mail to the PO Box cut down on this problem but didn't eliminate it. A couple of months back they mis-delivered my vehicle registration renewal. Yeah, I know it's ultimately my responsibility to pay attention to when things are due, but this time it slipped my notice. So yesterday I get a "notice of delinquent registration" with a $96 penalty tacked on to my registration fees.

Usps here is awesome, ive had zero issues ever... Friend's house the guy is a fuktard. He constantly gets someone else's mail and has missed extremely important documents being filed in time.
I complained especially about shit being marked delivered at 630 am and they're in Parking lot of post office.
Found out that location is where they put the idiot from the region for "retraining" that they can't fire due to union.
I have sat on porch stoop waiting for packages to receive none yet be marked delivered then the idiot tell me he delivered them. I can't send anything important through the mail to him. I send to a different zip code then have them take over.
My problems are at distribution center who regularly sends packages to wrong post offices. Then they are delayed for 5 days usually.

Glad my current service is decent. Annoyed sometimes when they cram a book into the mailbox and bend the shit out of it but eh, short walk to the front door is too much to ask.

We keep all vehicle registrations in a spreadsheet which is housed on Google docs. A simple look at that and we can do registration renewals online. It does not incur 96 dollar fines.

Only time I’m in their office is photo renewal….every 5 yrs

My mail people are great at all the places I stay. FedEx and UPS suck at my winter home but great at the others. I could never understand why because it is their only job.

Texas only penalizes a car owner if an expired registration ticket has been issued and a conviction achieved. If you're expired long enough, when you pay the registration, you start with the current month, vs. the month it would have originally renewed on.

The Post Orifice sucks here as well. They refuse to deliver to my residence, so I have a box at a local pack-n-ship. There they deliver maybe twice/ week, and jam the box so full so I nearly have to use a crowbar to remove it.

Baby Doll has subscribed to "informed delivery", meaning that she gets a picture of first class mail emailed to her. Invariably important documents, including vehicle registrations and checks, get photographed but several times now we never get the actual envelopes.

They are very good at delivering junk mail though.

I was driving on a registration that ran out 6 months previous when I got pulled over by the PA State Police.

He allowed me to renew when I got home. No fine, just a warning to get it done.
