All of those "poor" Southern states... and yet only Louisiana hits the top 15 in homelessness... at a rate close to 1/3 of California.

Homeless population per 10,000 people by state, 2022

District of Columbia 65.64
California 43.95
Vermont 42.96
Oregon 42.35
Hawaii 41.43
New York 37.7
Washington 32.38
Maine 31.84
Alaska 31.63
Nevada 23.97
Delaware 23.26
Massachusetts 22.21
Arizona 18.42
Colorado 17.8
Louisiana 16.0

With Mississippi and South Carolina as the 2 lowest in the nation and Alabama, West Virginia, and Arkansas all in the bottom 10.

https://usafacts.org/articles/which-...-homelessness/

Funny how that works.

118k, a bass guitar, and black hairspray to cover the baldness. Now that's a baller.

Depends how it's measured. You don't need much to live off the land in some states.

Best I could come up with? Hardly. I was just trying to be polite, hence the vanilla "insults." I don't have any issue with you, yet. But hey man, you want to be a ****in sandy vagged ***** about things...we can escalate.

Utah coming in at 10.82. Lower than I thought considering all the homeless in Salt Lake. I guess that’s where they’re all concentrated though.

Money does not make you rich or poor, it is only a measurement of wealth.

Wealth means nothing

As an aggregate number, it is what it is, assuming the numbers are correct.

The map would look pretty messy and the numbers would be more useless if they tried to put 35,000,000 individual numbers in Texas.

If you are looking to reduce your local/state tax burden, I think it is a reasonable place to start looking for a new home.

How someone defines "Rich" or "Wealthy" really varies from person to person.
What does "rich" or "wealthy" really mean? If you ask 10 people, you will get 10 different answers.

I have to disagree. While it may not mean everything, it certainly means something. It offers peace of mind and less stress if you have it. It doesn't remove stress from your life, but it allows you to be in control and prioritize.

It comes down to the question: Does money make someone happy?
While money itself does not create happiness, what money does is that it gives you INDEPENDENCE and not being a slave of the system. Independence makes me happy. The things I buy with money make me happy. As we are individuals, what makes each of us happy varies from person to person. Many do not require money for their happiness but other do. There is no universal answer.

"Rich" can be defined as money or assets. It also can be defined as abundant, meaning one can have an abundant life and not necessarily be wealthy.

"Wealthy" almost always refers to money or possessions (assets).

We all end up dead in the end but paraphrasing Chris Rock, "Some get to die on a mattress". That's the power of wealth and it matters to me. I enjoy living under a roof and eating something better than cereal for dinner.
