I grew up in a ski town and skied a lot as a teenager. Virginia skiing is the absolute suck. Pennsylvania isn't much better. Short runs, boring terrain, granular icy conditions. But it's skiing. Best I've ever had on the East coast was Bear Mountain (Killington) in Vermont.

The best skiing is just outside of SLC Utah.

That's where I got hurt snowboarding and little did I know it would cost me my Army career 8 years later

I like watching Southeast Gassers on youtube.
Haven't skied since the '70's. Not going to strap a long lever to my compromised left ankle and tempt fate. It was a lot of fun in the Sierras, though. Long runs from mild to wild.

I grew up skiing in the Canadian Rockies. For me, skiing anywhere else is the suck.
