Anyone work a 2nd job or do side work for more income?

Just curious... I'm happy to have a job right now and don't see any large raises/promotions in the near future.

What do you do for some extra cashflow? How do you find/make the time for it? I find that w/ my normal work day + gym time + projects around the house I'd never have the time for a 2nd job. My GF works for a defense contractor but still waits tables at the place she used to bartend just because she saddled herself w/ a horrid car payment 3 years ago she can't get out of (failing to understand the concept of negative equity is a *****).

I have all kinds of crap I need/want to do to my house and a some extra project funds would be nice.

Last summer / Fall I made a small investment for basic detailing supplies, and did a bunch of car details. I only did it on the weekend, and I charged about half the going rate, so it was an easy sell for people. I'll be starting up again soon, I suspect.

What I did was layoff my two employees in the last year, with declining Obama Care Health Sales, I came out 30k ahead by doing this, oh I reduced payroll 60k, when Obama Care passes and people start buying health insurance I will hire and expect my income to go up further

My wife is a bottom feeder (lawyer) for the state (consumer rights attorney), and I'm a stay at home dad for the time being. I pick up some extra scratch by shooting weddings and family portraiture, which will hopefully be picking up more in the near future.

I am not blaming him totally, in 2008 my income went down 30k and it has gone down steadly and so far this year I have lost another 10k from last year and no employees to cut and all other expenses have been cut. Oh during the last time the economy sucked was 2001, I grew, this time people in the San Antonio area are not buying health insurance, they will be soon, thanks to the Messiah, oh the plan he proposes sucks at best, though I stand to employee more people again, I am not for this


Oh I am not starving or will qualify for free or reimbursed health care so my income is still fine, the owners income comes before employees, just ask any owner, oh, Obama has never run a business or worked for one, community man and senator, no the most unquailied president of my lifetime

Since I work night shift I have thought about finding a late night stocking job somewhere. But I kinda like my off time. But more income would be nice haha. I check into Best buy

I was laid off from a job, 6 months ago, in which my salary alone was $200K a year. Am I bitter...yes. Do I blame Obama.....of course not.

I don't actually do it for the money,but I work as a musician [guitar/fiddle] some weekends. it's more like "therapy" to keep my sanity from my "real job" a hobby that actually generates income,if you will.

Brian, my 30ish year old son got him a second job several months ago when his overtime stopped and it is at Subway he does 3 or 4 evenings a week to make up for the lost overtime from his day job. Oh he said other than the occasional wacko like I quoted above, Subway is perfect until the overtime starts up later this summer as he has been told

I had colon cancer at 28 (I'm now 49). Did I blame anyone....no! Was
