71 Charger was a bust, my road crew bud told me about it and said hold up let me check it out first. Sitting since 1988 in a garage with a leaking roof since 1990 with 5 tarps over it.

Never know until check them out.. Almost better if they are outside and can breathe even if the car leaks. A musty/wet old garage is guaranteed to rot them. I've passed on a few "garage stored" cars, when you crack the door and damp/musty smells about knocks you down is always a bad sign.
Worse to me is when they've been butchered by some hacks as fixing bad work is double hard.

Pretty much... Quality caulk gun is a must, the cheap ones can't get a good consistent bead.
I never use tape or anything, beads come out nice. The shit they sell now is alot easier to work with than caulk of 20 or 30 years ago.

Seals shot, top of fenders and hood shot, trunk lid shot, floor pans gone and springs through the trunk pans. . It ran good when we parked it.
Fuggin shifter was rusted tight.
