I looked at getting a 2nd gig in the evenings, but it would be hard to explain why I am gone a month here and a month there.

A second job as your business or working for an employer?
Perhaps working for an employer long enough to get some sick BB or HD deals for house things that you'd be buying anyhow? Or if you wanted the time flexibility in your own business, what would be a niche that is needed, and isn't filled? Back when I did the car electronics thing and dabbled in basic piggyback tuning that was fun, but it sucked up a lot of time and people usually wanted things done with not much notice. I liked it for the most part and still do stuff from time to time even though I don't advertise. Don't want do another security install again though.

I have a friend that is a Builder when he has a customer who wants a Alarm system, Home theater or a Whole house audio I will do that for him. I really don't have the time like I use to but I can make good money at it so it's hard to turn down.

What I do for extra cash? Male prostitute. I go by Ned Garvin. Look me up sometime, ladies! Seriously, I don't have any time to work an extra job. I work fulltime and help raise two wonderful children who are 14 and 10. Between them and their sports events, school activities and my own volunteer work coaching - I don't have any time. Sure, I would love some extra cash to give my family a little better vacation or Christmas presents but I am rich inside. |

Just 7 days ago you said this: Quote:
Not that a single person here cares what you make (or made)...Jus' sayin' it must be nice to casually overlook $50k in annual income. To put that in perspective, and for the interests of this thread, most people contemplating taking on a second job could only dream that effort would net them what your slight discrepancy is. |

A second job would depress me to no end unless it was something super cool that I did for fun and if that was the case I would find a way to make it my only job.
If I find I need extra $$ for whatever then I ask my wife for it, she makes about 5 times what I make.

Sorry, not into talking about baseball. Play baseball twice a year on the CPO and Command teams but that's it. Oh and your Bday doesn't match! Last edited by wwomanC6; 03-17-2010 at 7:51pm. |

I am with you Bri, I would love some extra cash flow to do all the mods I want to do and pay off my student loans faster, but with the hours that I work, I don't know where or how to find the time.
