Straight line speed not comparable for sure, but still an interesting watch. It's Joe Nemechek in the stock car.

I haven't finished the video, I'm only at 3 minutes, but he was definitely able to catch in the turns. Will watch the rest soon. Got someone here cleaning all my security cams and calling me to reposition them.

We used to call him Joe Need-a-check. Because I believe he was quoted saying that he makes a good living just qualifying and winning the occasional pole, winning isn't everything.
He did have a lot of top 10 finishes and several wins.

Porsche never caught and passed Joe, as the straight line speed of 800-900 hp gapped the GT3, but the GT3 kept pace for the entire 10+ minutes.

Most impressive. Again, gotta love a sequential manual transmission, which the Porsche had.

This was a David vs. Goliath interaction and David held his ground.
