Their only complaint it was dark and hot in their cabin, which was next to the engine room, did not bother them as they said they got drunk each night and crashed in a poolside chaise--I bought them a round or two, they were good company, all were very right.

Seriously, I've been on 3 cruises, Caribbean, Hawaii, Mexico, on Viking, and they were excellent. This was 30+ years back.

My aunt was supposed to go on an Alaska cruise with my parents in October but looks like she is backing out for various petty reasons. Tickets for cruise and the flight have already been purchased, non-refundable, but transferable. Mom and Dad asked if I wanted to go and I'm considering it, but I honestly don't know if I want to be stuck with just the two of them for over a week.

You should do it. PLENTY of room to spread out. You can control your time with them like I used to do with my parents. Meet for breakfast, split up, meet for dinner, maybe do a day activity or two. No need to be joined at the hip. Everybody who has been on an Alaskan cruise raves about it.

There are two cruises I wish to repeat and Alaska land (buss & train) and sea time is one. A Panama Canal cruise is another. When I say Canal I mean the whole long cruise from east cost to west coast, not a half way and turn around cheater cruise!

I'm leaning towards going. Guess I should renew my passport next week anyway.
