Putin makes a huge move against ISIS...

In what’s being called the “first clear sign of offensive weapons arriving in Syria” by a U.S. defense official, Putin has sent a total of 15 Russian Antonov-124 Condor flights containing military weaponry and two Russian cargo ships full of sophisticated battle tanks.

The same defense official reported that Russia might launch offensive strikes against the Islamic State group “very soon.”

Russian cargo ships offloaded at least a half-dozen T-90 battle tanks and 15 artillery pieces at the port of Tartus — a Syrian port used by Russia since the 1970s. A total of 35 armored personnel carriers were also seen being unloaded.

Pentagon spokesman Capt. Jeff Davis said that the large offload of Russian equipment “suggest the establishment of a forward air operating base.”

Meanwhile, Obama recently played a mean 18 holes.

Probably not a good thing in the long term, but fighting ISIS with modern weaponry will hopefully calm its aspiration a bit. BTW, some nation other than the U.S. has to be the World's peace keeper; our leadership ability is forever gone.

I think this is great. First, Syria was already a Russian client-state, so they aren't expanding their sphere of influence fighting in Syria. Second, Russia and the Muslims are fighting each other while we sit on the sidelines. That smells like.....win. They waste lives and money on each other while we sit on the sidelines, hopefully NOT wasting lives and money. Let Russia take the lead, and get the blowback, in the form of terrorism in Russia.

Ya, he's still arming Syria so Assad can keep killing his own people, and now they can make sure the USA and Canadian forces don't gain too much influence over there fighting ISIS. Fuck Putin, there probably wouldn't be an Isis without Russian weapons.

Even our early, early ancestors knew better than to battle in Afghanistan. One would have to have been born there and have lived there all their life to win a battle there. That's who both Russia and the U.S. were fighting there, and of course the two didn't win. Even Alexander the Great learned his lesson there in 328 B.C.
