Update:

I still have a residual cough, and I think I'm still a little weakened, although that could just be because I've been inside this week and lost my acclimation to the Texas heat and humidity. I'll resume the zinc lozenges today and see what that does.

I don't get what the problem is.

You don't feel well, don't go to work. Covid, flu, roundworms, sinus infection, strep, the list could go on. No need to actually test for the desired dem result.

Isn't this the way it used to work?

And masks don't work for viruses.
