FWIW: A diner I frequent is now serving maple surple with pancakes, etc. One of the waitresses and her hubby make it every year.
The family diner that I go to a lot has the home made syrup available as a up charge.. Its really good. unfortunately as diabetic I do not use.

Yep, it is not served free here as the fake syrup is, understandably.

I'm pre-diabetic so have cut way down on all carbs, and sweet stuff as close to zero as I can get. I'm hoping to get my A1C back to normal in a few months.

It's all in fun really, by no means will I consider competing with Aunt Jemima.....

We hardly eat syrup anyway.....
You don't eat syrup, you drink it. Duh.

A few years ago, one of the maple producers in Vermont bottled "maple water". It was pure maple sap straight from the tree.

I didn’t think pork could be kosher no matter what, a rabbi blessing or not.

But I’m not a Jew, so not sure of that. But I am sure that I hate Jews.

See, Mick was right, you’re all out to get us!

So we kill one of our own and you hold this grudge for centuries? Oy
