Having read nothing about it, I'm guessing Audi is probably going to unveil it at Le Mans and will run it in the European Le Mans Series.

Yes Fin is legal, FIA and AOC mandated for the P1 cars at LeMans.

It's deceptive. Sure it sounds like a jet-car. But that's just because all you hear on the new 6-cylinder diesel motor powering that car, is the bigass turbo.

The previous generations (open cockpit R10 and R15) used V12 and V10 diesels which were also rather quiet. Now they are mandated to use a smaller, lower HP engine but they also significantly reduced the weight. These R18's powered by a puny V6 diesel are still going to give Peugeot a run for the money.

Those feckers have gotta be running a lot of boost!

It's deceptive alright. Sounds like a model jet-car during the 24 hours with all the other cars running.

Peugot was kicking ass last year, right until they self destructed. The French suddenly went from rowdy to vewwy, vewwy quiet.

Still haven't gotten used to the enclosed cockpit. Still think the R8 is the sexiest prototype racer they made.
