I figured it out.

China tested some type of EMP weapon on the plane. They figured since most of the people on the plane were Chinese nationals it was cool.

Now they are scrambling to retrieve the weapon from the plane, and so "Vietnam" is "finding debris" and China has "satellite images of debris", in an effort to get people to search somewhere other than where the plane actually is... Thailand.

I am solo this weekend too. The botlle of single malt scotch I put a large dent in last night will not survive this evening. Good thing there is a bottle of Dewars in reserve!
Becka gets home tomorrow afternoon so by then I should have the place cleaned up and presentable

A former air accident investigator has told Sky News he believes a "criminal act" is to blame for the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.

James Kallstrom, who was once assistant director of the FBI in New York, said the main focus of the inquiry into what happened should be on the crew.

Mr Kallstrom, who investigated the explosion of Boeing 747 in the Atlantic Ocean in 1996, said: "I just don’t see how it's possible there was some fire aboard the plane or some mechanical failure that kept it flying.

"If it was flying on automatic pilot it wouldn't be changing altitude, it wouldn’t be going left and right, making turns and dropping to 5,000 feet, you know somebody was flying that airplane."

Like many, Mr Kallstrom has unanswered questions about the disappearance, specifically the backgrounds of the crew and passengers.

"I want to know everything about them, I want to know who they are, what they stand for, who they talk to, what do their telephones say? What do the hard drives on their computers say?"

The response of the Malaysian authorities has been criticised by relatives of the 239 passengers on board, with some family members suggesting foul play.

Well well well. Today we find out that just before takeoff our little pilot received a 2 minute call from a disposable phone purchased with a false identification. That's illegal in Malaysia, you are required to show a passport when you purchase a SIM card phone. The person who bought it was supposedly a female. Perhaps an Iranian man in a burka? Heck, we know how closely they match passports to passengers.

Oh, and they STILL HAVEN'T interviewed the pilot's wife. Sheez.

Although the pilot and his wife Faizah – who have three children – were separated, they had been living under the same roof. A source said: ‘Faizah has been spoken to gently by officers but she has not been questioned in detail to establish her husband’s behaviour and state of mind in the days leading to the incident.

‘This is partly for cultural reasons. It is not considered appropriate in Malaysia to subject people in situations of terrible bereavement to the stress of intensive questioning.’

The softly-softly approach has been challenged by the team of FBI agents working with Malaysian police. They have pointed out that she may hold ‘vital clues and information’ to Zaharie’s mental state.

‘The whole world is looking for this missing plane and the person who arguably knows most about the state of mind of the man who captained the plane is being left alone,’ said a source close to the FBI team.

The source added: ‘If we want to eliminate the chief pilot from the inquiry, we must interview her in detail to find out what his state of mind was.’

The mystery caller emerged when Malaysian investigators examined the phone records of both Zaharie and his co-pilot, 27-year-old Fariq Abdul Hamid.

The timing of the call has intensified scrutiny on Zaharie as investigators struggle to establish whether the cockpit crew, a catastrophic accident or hijackers are to blame for Flight MH370’s disappearance.

Meanwhile FBI experts in the US are continuing to examine the hard drive of a flight simulator seized from Zaharie’s home after it emerged that programs he used on it had been deleted.

Zaharie used the home flight simulator to practise extreme landings, including on remote Indian Ocean islands such as the US air base in Diego Garcia, investigators have revealed.

The hard drive was flown to the FBI laboratory in Quantico, Virginia, at the end of last week after Malaysian investigators failed to retrieve the deleted files, which they suspect may have been ‘buried’ in an elaborate process to cover the user’s tracks.

The delay in handing the computer hard drive to the FBI has proved to be a source of friction between the Malaysian and US investigators, the source close to the FBI said, adding: ‘We have the technology to do this work quickly and effectively and they simply don’t.

Every piece of evidence still points to the pilots themselves hijacking the plane, with probable help of several people in the cabin, then taking to plane to somewhere like Pakistan or one of the other stans, with the entire operation coordinated by Islamists with access to at least some radar sites - easily believable in SW Pakistan and their utterly corrupt ISI.

We know a lot more about this than is public, a lot more. I would imagine if that call was the "Go For Operation Get Us A 777" it was in code. You know "Bring the package to the Hilton, third floor. The bellman will be waiting at 230."

Hilton = SW Pakistan
Third floor identifies one of the possible landing areas there.
Bellman waiting at 230 = shadow flight in corridor, that's when they find the flight to shadow as predetermined.
