Yes, fenced back yard for my dogs. Mostly for my wife to let them out and not have to worry about them wandering too far off. I don't know how fencing your dogs (the law btw) makes them useless.

And my dogs are trained, one is a pro trained bird dog although at 10 years old I don't expect her to retrieve like she used to. But she does require fetch exercise a couple times a day.
The 7 year old was behavior trained only and while not a hunter she is a real good dog.

Seriously though, that guy should be on some sort of watch list.

I'm walking my neighbors dog this week as they're out of the country. I go in to replenish his food & water & then take him for a walk to the bar....then I send a pic of his adventure

This was yesterday.

Zero interest in spending time in their home without them being there much less jerking off on their couch

See my previous post above.

I started out with a Blink Mini, worked well but needed a sub after 30 days, then tried a Mubview, didn't work well and needed a sub, then got a Eufy which is great. Was about $35.

Can talk through it, can set it to see all movement, or just humans and animals, or animals only. I can save all the clips if I wish. No sub, no spam.

This question is like, "do you carry concealed?".

My answer is the same. Maybe I do, maybe I don't.

A friend of mine came up with the idea of air bag roulette with cars. Maybe your car has one, maybe it has a placebo. You won't know until you crash.
So slow the **** down!. LOL.

My idea was a spring-loaded bayonet in the steering wheel hub, but I'm German and that's how we think.

I like the air bag roulette better.

I only set up cameras when I go on vacation. My pet sitter had a hard time getting eyes on the cats the first time she was hired. They are very shy and have many hiding places. They’re former strays and they will NOT come out for strangers. If something happened to them, she would never know.

Anyhow, I set up cameras in front of their food bowls. I check them in the evening just to make sure I see them at least once.

Of course, she knows. My pet sitter is so great, I would never think about not telling her. She evens feeds my squirrels and birds outside. And she knows how to change the Litter Robots. I had one pet sitter that just couldn’t get it together on those.

Outside of that scenario, I don’t use interior cameras. Only exterior, security cameras.

My economics prof was an imposing Austrian fella that was my first encounter with that notion of a moral hazard and said the same thing about having a blade stick out of the steering wheel would make drives much more careful.

I think I actually got the idea decades ago from reading an old 'Automotive Oddity' in a 1930's Popular Science magazine. It was a German invention and was a huge, pointed fish-hook you wore around your neck so if you started to fall asleep, your chin would drop onto the point and jab you awake. It was specifically for truck drivers. The hooks was about 8 inches long and lethal as hell looking. One sudden stop and you'd have an instant tracheotomy.

I can see and support it on small lots. But once you are out on your acreage teach them their boundaries and let them do their job. .

My cameras caught and videoed an attempted car thief at our place last year. This video nailed the perp. Cops recognized him right away.....Imo they're invaluable today.....

I'd asked a resident semi retired cop here for a little personal help....... but was ignored. Any guesses.....

I believe Takata already has a proprietary patent on stuff coming out from the airbag assembly that can kill you. Sorry.

The question was who has cameras in their home. You keep your cars in your house?

Actually, the question was, "In THE home? So, I don't have any family in "a Home", I felt I could enlarge to include....."My property (home) which has camera surveillance.

We have a total of 8 Blink cameras; 4 outside & 4 inside. The 4 outside are enabled 24/7 and cover all entrances & the driveway; mostly so we get early warning if an Amazon delivery shows up.

Of the 4 inside, only 2 are enabled 24/7; one in a basement storage room where we occasionally get mice, and one in our utility room in case our water leak detector indicates we have water on the floor. The other 2 only get enabled when we're gone for more than a couple of days.

No cameras, but I do have a mirror on the ceiling in my bedroom; it is etched with :

"Objects in mirror are larger than they appear"

The fencing is for my wife's convenience. She takes the dogs out a lot especially when I'm not home.
When I take them to the property they run free.

BTW- their job is to be both a joy and a pain in the ass at the same time.
