To be honest, I haven’t bought any magazines this week, however, last week I did buy a Glock 48, and a few weeks ago, I bought some normal capacity magazines for my M&P 2.0.

Well us peons have to play by the rules.

At any rate, I didn't go too crazy with this. I ordered x2 standard caps for my CZ and HK and x6 for my Ruger Mini 14, which is the only detachable box magazine rifle that I own.

I never warmed to the AR bandwagon out here with the bullet button and all that crap, plus I don't want to register with the State as far as "Assault Weapon" status and all that. I'm happy with my Mini 14 and M1.

Everybody gripes about the accuracy of the Mini 14, well it's Minute of Man at 100 yards, which is fine enough by me. If I want "accuracy" I'll shoot my bolt rifle(s).

The collateral effect of the one week hiatus to the ban, was that it allowed in “new” model magazines that have not been available in California in close to two decades. I’ve heard elsewhere that more than a million magazines may have made it into the state during freedom week. This is going to make it very hard to enforce the ban later because it will be near impossible to determine the legal status of any grandfathered magazine. Up until now, it was relatively easy to determine, because many newer model magazine were easy enough to detect since they were made after the ban went into affect nearly two decades ago. Now, it won’t be all that easy....
