I hear ya. Just go shopping at a grocery store, and pay attention to who is wearing a ring. Employee or customer, talk them up a bit. They probably get morning coffee somewhere ask to meet for morning coffee. or a quick lunch sandwich place, the chicks love Panera. Too strong is a dick move just a quick extra meet n greet, a few times you will find someone.

I don't know... I'd error on the side of caution. The stock market is just shy of an eleven year bull run. A few months ago, MSM was thinking a recession was near and now they're all backtracking and thinking 2020 will be good. Regardless, not a good time in my opinion.

I'm that guy that is big on paying off mortgage or better yet, any other debt with higher interest and no deductions.

There are so many factors to consider and we don't know you're situation 100% so you're better off doing whatever will let you sleep better at night or if it's a lot of money, hire a professional.

these are good problems to have

Can you give us more details on what "stable growth" is? My wife and I have the same problem, we want to take some of the equity money off the table, but the question becomes "what do we do with it?".

She also wants to sell one of our investment properties, but I have some good ideas of what to do with those proceeds (basically, get into a better investment property), but we are having a very hard time finding a cash return to fund retirement until Medicare and SS kick in.

I dumped my FA when my market investments were pulling in avg 15%over 10 yrs; under my watch and his was at 10% (not counting his fees).

W/O divulging number or too many details, we are mortgage free and have no loans or CC.

Although well diversified not sure where to "invest" $ moving forward. I feel the market is at or near it's peak, so not going to add much there.

Consulted a new FA and they said we were "unicorns" in this day and age to have lived so frugal and be debt free at our age. Said we should max out our work matched retirements but did not offer any other solid advise.

Easy to live frugal in a part of the country where houses still cost $100,000.
