Default Shitload of Guitars
Without going into too much detail, my good friends father passed away yesterday. Over the years, he had accumulated approximately 41 Guitars and Various amplifiers.

Now, some of these guitars are fairly run of the mill, but a rather large percentage of them are Gibson's. Mostly Jazz guitars, with a few Les Pauls and what not. One is a Signature L5 Wes Montgomery model that he paid $6500.00 for a few years ago. There are several ES-175 models, ES-165 Herb Ellis models, ES-335's, ES-137's. SEVERAL OF EACH. IT'S EFFING INSANE.

Needless to say, my friend needs to liquidate them, but at the same time he doesn't want to give them away either.


Any ideas?

Oh, and also he has a shitload of Ham radio equipment, some stuff new in box, as well as Astronomical Telescopes, shit like that.

On the ham radio equipment- qrz.com is a good place to sell ham radio stuff, as well as looking for the local ham radio club. And don't be fooled, a lot of ham radio equipment is pricy...depending what license you friend's dad held, it is entirely possible for him to have an HF radio worth as much as several thousand dollars..
For instance, an icom 7851 is around $13k dollars new, although granted, there are not many hams using them.
Then you add in amplifiers, ect, and he might have a nice bit of coin there if he was relatively active in the hobby. It'd pay to try to find a trusted local ham who'll be honest with you and tell you what's good and what's junk.
