After being examined by US and Italian docs, everyone now agrees it's over, although the father, in his presser, intimates that the experimental US treatment might have worked, if it had been tried sooner.

That's what's so ludicrous. Just look at the VA on how .Gov runs health care. As a .Gov employee it kills me to see how long anything takes. The amount of red tape that we have to jump through to do anything is frustrating. Our Acquisitions are controlled by a book bigger than War and Peace.

I see it this way. Your "health" is essentially "you". It is your life. Your person. Your physical being. When the .gov controls your healthcare, it controls you. Not only that, you become the property of the state. Your very life is the property of the collective. I can't think of anything more evil.

I have VA healthcare for free...

...and I don't use it.


I pay for private insurance because it is so terrible.


As for the original subject, I hate it. I just... I can't even imagine if that was my child.

The poor kid was never going to have a normal life with severe brain damage and paralysis. Much more humane to let him go. Parents put him through hell for almost a year. Seems selfish to me.
We treat our animals better sometimes....

probably the most Fkd up thing I have ever heard of... letting babies die without even trying to help them. Pisses me off just thinking about it.

Now we have to reflect, what lesson is God teaching us with this situation? That might take some time to figure out but I trust his will.
