PSA: Check Your Smoke Detectors.....
......by cooking bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers in the oven. Just general advice, it's not like I had to open the windows and doors and ventilate the house or anything.

Back around 2000, the next door neighbors tested their smoke detectors by reheating pizza in the cardboard box
 Yes, their smoke detectors worked  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Forgot this little tidbit. Jim ( neighbor ) knocked on my doors and asked to borrow "fans". It's like October and fans weren't sitting out. He explained why and we got a few over to him ASAP.

True story...
Wedding night, 1992, Littleton CO. Put a nice fur rug out in front of the fireplace in the new condo. Opened the flue. Lit the fire, but the cold air on top forced the smoke right back out the front. Set off the smoke alarm on the 20' cathedral ceiling. So, I'm standing on a barstool being steadied by my new bride with a broom stick trying to knock the crap out of the detector. Finally knocked it off the ceiling. Then, standing at the front door to the courtyard in my nicest Hefner silk robe waving the smoke out. On the other hand, the story has given us quite a few laughs over the years If we had indoor cams, I'm pretty sure we'd have won the $10000 on AFV
