Crow. Landed in the bushed next to my house and just sat there like a good Crow.

The blue eyes suggest nestling but this thing was Birdzilla.

Roadside art near St. Jo, TX. This is old but one of the photos that got me interested in nighttime photography. The owner of this property erected several roadside art objects. The "flowers" were illuminated with an LED flashlight. I have a shots of a couple other "sculptures" that I'll dig up and post later.

We actually had shop class in our Elementary school, 5th and 6th grades. Much to my horror in 6th grade I watched our shop teacher cut off three fingers....on the table saw.....

Shop classes was removed after this occurred.....

Go figure, I chose to become a carpenter.....(yes a Jewish, carpenter)....

So, this teacher, ran out of the classroom screaming, blood pouring everywhere, with the three fingers on the table saw......And I still have the ashtray we were making at the time.....

Easy to do if you're distracted.

A guy in my middle school thought it would be funny to pretend to cut his finger off during shop class. Shop teacher was pissed and as I remember he was suspended for a day or two.

A guy I am friends with in the neighborhood has a nice table saw that we have both used for various projects. About 15 years ago, we agreed that neither of us would use it without the other one present. Yeah, we give that machine A LOT of respect!

Finished the table started several posts ago. Made from a white oak we lost in an ice storm 15 years ago. The tree was 200+ years old. I had it quarter sawn and dried. They don’t make ‘em like they used to!

Well done!

Did you use a mortising tool/table for the spindles? Nice to see all the clear, oak knots are a bitch!
