We missed out on the latest storms that rolled through, but our February was one of the snowiest on record. I found out the hard way that one should look close at how much snow the plow shoves into the driveway. It is much easier to shovel snow when the car isn't stuck on top of it.

None of those look like matte colors. Normal paint to sample colors were $10K for the Aventador, I thought.

Hmmm. Process of elimination narrows it down to the blue Aventador so I'd guess that specific blue is from the 40th Anniversary Murcielago.

It is the blue one, painted in Blue Nethus AKA Blue Monterrey. Before Lamborghini would allow cars to be painted they had to change the name. The color was originally a reward to Viken Keuylian, SoCal Lamborghini dealer king. Then Viken got in trouble with the Feds and Volkswagen Autogroup, caught stealing $12M.

So the two colors Lamborghini had named for Vik and his business, Blue Monterrey and Rosso Vik, were discontinued. Both colors had originally been used on the Diablo SV "Monterrey Edition" cars, built for and sold only through Keuylian's dealerships. Since buyers still want the colors, Lamborghini renamed them Blue Nethus and Rosso Efesto, and charge more for them than any other color. You want it, you can get it, but you'll pay.





The 40th Anniversary Murci is much greener. Here are two 40ths, flanking a Blue Monterrey Murcielago.
