Yes.

This will be the third year in a row for "100 year freezes" in places like Texas. This is the exact reason why we changed from "global warming" to "climate change", so that if we get unusual heat = Climate change, unusual cold = Climate change. The libs are covered either way, and she sheep will lap it up and look at you like you're stupid if you don't believe it.

I warned the folks I know IRL a few months ago that this would be a cold winter. Not our coldest, but a cold one. How do I know you ask? My wife found a wooly bear in the yard back in November.

Well we weren’t supposed to be sub freezing today but we were. A good bit more freezing rain than expected as well. The roads around me are all closed. We are hunkered down. I’ve got ice all over the property and just tested the hot tub air pump to find it had the pipe freeze, that’s cleared and all good here otherwise.

Ercot is threatening rolling brown outs tomorrow morning.

Car doors are already frozen shut at 7pm......major freeways.....closed. Idiot cat got out when I came back in.....cat came back 5 minutes later, half frozen. Natural gas heaters going, lights and water still on, for now.

If I don't make it, it was an honor and privilege to post here with y'all.

Yes we had light freezing rain/sleet all day and we’ve been at or below freezing since this morning.

We ranged from 32-29 all day just now dipping below.

I guess we had a little mist or drizzle here that froze. I had to pull on the doors to open them, to break open that ice glaze. We're not used to that. We're tropical people down here. The cat is the same. I mean, damn....it's 30 degrees out and dropping fast. WTF? I fear we may all die. I've got furniture near the fireplace ready to bust up and burn for heat to survive.

Ok. I asked about the car doors because just below 32 d. temps won't make them un-openable, you need freezing rain or similar.
