Default My first triple square

My tool collection started in 1974 and just got a little bigger. This little bugger and her sister held on a portion of a brace between the front suspension of my Macan. Funny thing is, the brace has 6 bolts, all the same thread diameter and pitch, but the other four are hex heads. The shop manual says torque them all the same to 67#-ft, but these two required a breaker bar to get loose.

I'm willing to bet the odd bolts also show loctite debris in the thread root.
I also suspect that is because they have some function in the frame or suspension beyond retaining some odd bracket.

Those are verniers, not a breaker bar.

Dial calipers. And there is no reason to measure the OD of something with and internal socket for tightening or loosening.
