So this was my car yesterday:




Turned a corner, accelerated, heard & felt a big bang underneath in the rear, followed by continuous banging & thrashing around of something under there until I could pull off to the side. Car was unresponsive after that. Fortunately, the AC worked fine until the roadside assistance arrived.

Tesla is providing a loaner & a $100 Uber credit to get myself down there to pick it up tomorrow.

I'm guessing a broken half shaft, CV joint, or some other component of one of the rear axle assemblies.

On the bright side, it didn't catch on fire so all is well.

Hmm... I had that exact same experoence with my ICE C6. Twice.

The first half-shaft was fixed under warranty. But GM in their infinite wisdom cheapness didn't replace the other one at the same time, so when it gave out a year or so later the warranty had expired.

The best part is no part. I mean I get it but if you have no parts you don't have anything. Reminds me of "Build back better". Sounds like a 5 year old came up with that crap.

BTW EV forced on us by government SUCKS. Biden and his idiots and idiots that follow him can **** off forcing into EV's.
