BRIII - Thank you!
OK, I know many of us have posted thank you's in the various other threads, but I think one more big thank you to those who made BRIII happen and be successful is in order. Those of us who were able to just register, show up, and enjoy the event are very fortunate.
Thank you to Sandy for all her efforts arranging all the activities, the beer trailer, etc. and not even getting to enjoy them. Thank you to Rob and Jodi for the all the efforts associated with the food every night. Thanks to Marcus for keeping the cars clean (even though the bird found mine 2 minutes later  ). Thanks to Michael and the Hampton staff for being so courteous, accommodating, and understanding! Who am I missing, please post up others who helped make BRIII a success. |

Even though Wendy wasn't there, she was still able to organize the 50/50 raffle. She sent off the tickets to Michael, etc. and Beadist sent a handmade prize to raffle off.

It was a great time. Even though the group was smaller, it was a little easier to meet and spend time getting to know all there. For me, it was a great success.

My attendance has lapsed in the last few years and missed the first two Barn Raisings. As Steve said, I hope these continue because it is something to look forward to on Memorial day weekend, and still get home in time for other festivities. Thanks to all the organizers. For being one of the lowest in attendance...it was one of the richest and most enjoyable gatherings yet. As mentioned above, the small groups enabled us to all hang together and really spend quality time. In the past I saw so many people in passing or at times realized someone was there after the event was already over. I feel like I was able to see everyone this year and made so many new friends. I thank everyone that was there for having a "were all in this together" mentality. What a great time!
