They have an operational diagram at the top and bottom of the hill plus a guy at the top that shows you how to use the sled

I know Franklin, TN was mentioned for the history buffs, it's also got some great restaurants, and lots of little shops (for the wimmenz) |

This is the one that we passed headed up to JB. One of the better around. They also do a murder mystery dinner around memorial day weekend every year. Reservations would be imperative. If you guys have never done the murder mystery train experience...I really encourage it. Especially with a group of folks that know each other...it is very entertaining and amusing. Brings about teamwork for sure
My Old Kentucky Dinner Train Your Group will have a Delicious & Unique Dining Experience. Call Now 866.801.3463 or 502-348-7300 ext. 3003 |

Can I just throw this out there...just for debate. I know how great the Hampton treats the participants. I'm not slighting them in any way. But, are there any real resorts in the area ? Something that offers nice views and other resort type amenities ?

I also noticed that they tell you when to go "slow". And those tires to stop you at the bottom look reasonably cushy. It seriously does look fun though! Quote:
A group dinner train kinda thing sounds pretty good. Murder mystery show perhaps... "Who Killed Iron Chef?" |

Some inspiration... If you have a parking lot at your disposal, and a lot of cones, do a tricycle road course.

I thought it was really good. I enjoyed both movies the year they had it. Ironically, I think a lot of people were wondering what they were missing out on back at the hotel. If you stay for both movies, it will be midnight to 1am before heading back to the hotel... I know some didn't stay up that late.... me included one night

A group of us went somewhere fairly close during one CI and did some spirited driving on alot of curves and had a BLAST!!! Anyone remember where we went? Stangkiller? I think you were along with us, and EG and well(mal)adjusted. Don't recall who else. |

I remember Hwy 96 on Center Hill Lake near Smithville, TN being a great driving road, from when I lived there.
