IM BACK!!!!!

Ok so my idea of taking a cabinet install and trim and tile job to earn a little cash for my babies upgrades backfired in a HUGE way. 7 months later, broken and beaten and less money than when I stared. I am working on my car again. Yes i know no uber post unless you want to see me crying in all the pics. (the car stays the same just my level of depression changes).

I am german in heritage so judge me how you want when I say this but I am soooooo glad belgium is not where mexico is and tanks and airplanes with ammo is hard to come by...............yes the prick was belgium.

Any hoo I have started again and pulled the drivers door panel off and ran into this little gem along with the outer window trim holes being torn. Once again the time fiberglassing boats as a kid pays off.

Long story short I am starting again and will post pics of the teardown and painting etc again and I cant wait to drive my baby again and yes i will get up for cars n coffee when done!!!

P.S Port Dawg you have a bed waiting for you here since you need to learn this for your car

I have no idea what the first part of your thread meant but I'm glad to see you're back at it.

How did the door get cracked like that?

It was more of a rant than anything lol.

Not sure how the door got cracked but I am suspecting it had something in common with the crack I repaired on the sill........portdawg said he ran a carfax and no crashes but that only does reported crashes. So to answer your question fairly we have no idea but i will add that to my list of stuff fixed.

If i ever sell the car the next owner will have a brand new car almost lol

What's that wire/tube in the last pic going under the halo, the antenna wire?

Yes that is the antenna wire. I was intending on showing the nuts to remove the hatch. Kinda doesn't make sense without the rest of the pics. I am getting to that lol

Here is what happens when you do not follow up on the professionals at the paint store. I have learned one thing ...do....not....trust...people....that ....they....know....what....they....are....talking....about.....even.....if....they....sell...the....stuff. ooooooh back in September of last year i described in detail what i am doing and I was sold some primer without flex additive. Now primer without flex additive does not present a problem for rigid to semi rigid panels buuuut sure as hell does not apply to the rear end and the front bumper of the corvette when there is alot of flex.

I was getting stuff situated and making room for the new parts that i removed off the car when i grabbed the front bumper and i heard some cracking sounds further inspection and i saw the paint cracking and with more flex some popped off. So that was proof that you indeed did need flex additive on the flexy parts. The semi rigid front fenders not a problem. Oh well.

thx for the chicken comment I did not screen my pics. I was taking a pic of the chicken guard dog lol.
