I know you are looking for something to wrench on. I've always love the TR6, too. This one just popped up with a $13k obo
This 1975 Triumph TR6 is a very nice running and driving example. The car came from California and is completely rust free. Overall the car is very honest and very well preserved in very near original condition. The body is in very nice shape and near perfect gaps all the way around. It has had what appears to be one older repaint that looks to have been professionally done (no overspray on rubber trim that is commonly found with cheap paint jobs). The chrome is very nice all the way around. The rubber bumper over riders are is excellent shape. The car is fitted with Minilite Style wheels with fresh tires. Visually this car is very clean. The interior looks to be fully original and is in very nice shape considering. It has had an upgraded Alpine head unit and a removable speaker box put in behind the seats. The Paint and Trim codes show Paint 73 and Trim 74 (which was called Maple paint color with Beige interior). The top is an original style (maybe the original one), that is in great shape with clear windows. All gauges and switches seem function as they should (with the exception of the windshield screen washer motor. It makes an unhealthy sound when engaging the switch). The trunk and spare tire are in great shape. It has what appears to be new/recent trunk carpet. This car is equipped with the dual Weber carburetor upgrade. I've driven many Triumph's over the years and I can truly say this car dives better than most I've driven. The suspension is tight, the car is solid. Most triumphs are haunted with shakes and rattles over bumps but this one is very quiet and solid and tracks straight. Quite impressive! The temperature settles in and stays steady right about half way between the cold and hot labels. The odometer works as should and shows 57,213 miles and I have no reason to believe these are not original and correct miles to this car. It's evident that this car has been well cared for, kept out of the elements and and meticulously maintained over the years. I wouldn't hesitate to take this car on a road trip today! If you're looking for a very well kept, visually and mechanically sound driver quality TR6, this is a must see! |

Thanks for the listing, but much of the fun for me is in the build. And in the end I know exactly what I have. Call me dumb but I love basketcases!

If you repaint, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do British Racing Car Green!
My neighbor had one when I lived in St. Louis. He offered it to my parents for a deal for my first car. They said no. DAMMIT. |

British Racing Green with a Tan interior is, IMO, the classiest color combination EVAR. Silver with a red interior is a close second. Black with a red interior is just sinister looking, another one I love.

Too much project even for me... If it were a 70 or 71 I would somehow find the means though. |
