Coming back from Jacksonville this afternoon and started getting into some rain. As we got into Orlando, it started getting really heavy. Ended up stopped on I-4, winds gusting close to 80 MPH, horizontal rain that was sheeting so bad the wipers were useless, then the hail started. After it slowed some we finally were able to get moving again. We had to snake thru neighborhoods getting around downed trees, counted at least 20 large oaks down. Finally made it to our house, but no electricity. Still waiting for it to come back on. Starting to get a bit stuffy in here.

Hope you didn't sustain any hail damage. I got caught in some on the way to Waco once......peppered the whole car. Every body panel had damage before I could get stopped under a bridge.

Glad you make it home safely! Any hail damage to your car or house? We had 2.5" hail here 2 weeks ago; I was lucky to make it home before it hit.

Evidently the storm that blew through Bay Hill caused the final round to be moved to Monday. NBC had 5 of their camera towers blown over during the storm

Saw a couple posts on facebook that there was an actual tornado in the Conway area, don't know if it touched down though

Got the power back on last night around 10:15. Today clean up continues.

Hope it wasn't too bad over there Ron. We had some serious gusts and not quite dime sized hail. Blew a lot of crap out of the trees, but none down anywhere close to the house. Wife was freaking out watching the hail bounce off of her Mini. No damage to it or my son's car. Lotsa crap in the roads on the way to work this morning.

The entire area is a mess. Not as bad as after Charley, but worse than some of the other storms. I passed several tress crews clearing neighborhood streets and numerous power company crews still working when I left at 6 this morning. Couple streets turned into nice little auto-X courses with all of the debris strewn about.

My damn roof is leaking all down the back where the room addition is tied in, rain dripping every where, and the damn bathroom skylight somehow getting water on the plastic, I can't find the damn leaks for nothing.....

roofing company coming in the AM, getting stupid already.....
